| Alliston and District Snowmobile Club will be hosting a group ride on Saturday Dec 27/08. Starting location will be at the Silver Brooke Golf Club at 10:00am. Silverbrooke is located on trail 413 between Everett and Lisle. www.silverbrooke.comhttp://www.adsc.ca/prodimg/map2008.pdfIt will give everyone a chance to get together and to check out the trails. This ride will be lead by some of the club executive. It will also give everyone a chance to meet members of the club and you can get answers to any burning questions. Fellow Ride Connection member "Spiffy" will be organizing this ride so who knows where we are going to end up. | |

MM It's about an hour's ride for you. I live right on the trail west of Thornton on County Rd 56 at the Essa Township Yard. So there will be a bunch of us meeting at my place and riding over together. I would say meet at my place around 9:00am, that will take you about an 1/2 hour to get to my place. Also there is lots of parking at the Township yard on the corner of County Rd 21 & County Rd 56 if anyone wish's to trailer and then we can all ride over together. I know of at least a half dozen "Ride Connection" members that will be leaving from my place. Also the Tim Horton's / Sunoco in Thornton on Innisfil Beach Rd is another good spot to park and the trail is right across the road. | |

| Glenn are the trails open in our area now? I still see some closed signs in some places near me. I think I will try to make it on Saturday, unless I need to combine if the weather is right. If I can make it I will be at your place at 9:00 am. Thanks, John | |

| The trails are still all closed in the area. There is still 2 days of staking, signing and checking/ auditing the trails before they are open. It's a lot of work...but it will be done soon! Check this link for trail status: http://www.ofsc.on.ca/Trails/trails.aspIf everyone will be patient and stay off the trails it will keep the farmers happy, and as important: It will keep me happy. I remember how disappointed I was last year out in the field, cold and wet and some sledders rode up, slowed down.. and gunned it taking off after passing us. | |

| Yeh black leather chaps with fringes you can't miss me. I would plan on it being a full day ride. I'm not exactly sure where we will be all going but "Spiffy" has a route planned. | |

| Well Girls, I was out staking more trails today and it was not good . We have the groomer out packing down what we have and with this weather it seems to be shrinking. I have made a decision to delay the ride for 2 weeks until the 10th of Jan, both to help preserve the trails we have and to hopefully have colder weather to enjoy the ride better. Sorry for the delay and we will see you in a couple of weeks. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Spiffy | |

| ADSC Group Ride Postponed!
Sorry for waiting until the last minute to post this, I wanted the latest information in hopes we could go. We will at best have the trails "limited" with some wet spots and unfrozen ground and some of the surrounding areas will still be closed. I will be posting a ADSC group ride at the beginning of the week, there looks to be a lot of colder weather coming and some snow dropping down. A group ride on the thin snow would be hard on the trail base. Please respect the landowners and keep to the groomed trails.
