Next Sunday AM me and my bud leave on our annual ride, starting from Waltham, PQ just across the Ottawa River from Pembroke, ON and ride to Quebec. Day one will take us to Mont-Laurier about 300km. It's Superbowl Sunday so we should have the trails to ourselves. Monday ride from M-L to Grand Mere, PQ about 300 km. One of the highlights is riding across the bay at Shawinigan and seeing all those mansions overlooking the river. Tuesday we have a short 200 km day to Quebec City and we will meet a couple pals who are flying in from Toronto. Wed, Thu, Fri we ride with those guys up the St. Lawrence North shore to Charlevoix. We have a day ride up, a day riding around the Sagenuay/La Baie area and then back to Quebec City. We drop thos guys at the airport Friday PM and we head back to Shawinigan for Friday night. Saturday we're riding back thru Tremblant area to stay at Lac Nominingue, and Sunday back to the truck. Should knock off about 2500 km. We did the same trip last year with a little variation on the route. Two years ago I did the Pembroke to Quebec solo...in 2 days...too much though, just pounding all day for 2 days straight. Anybody who hasn't tried touring in Quebec should do yourselves a favour. Never mind 4 days crash bang boom around Algonquin, you can hardly find a bump in Quebec....best trails in the world, bar none
