I'm trucking to from Paris to Pembroke Friday, leaving from Waltham, PQ Saturday AM and riding to Quebec. Approx 700 km, conditions look good all the way. Anybody got any valuable trail info you think will be informative send it this way. Only about 1/4 of the trip is on unfamiliar trails. Layover Saturday night is Ste. Agathe des Monts. Happy trails !

Well kids, just got back, left from PQ side of Ottawa River at Pembroke (Waltham,PQ)...rode to Kaza...land dispute closed TQ13 for a stretch but met an exec from local club at lunch....got the scoop, and had to run up to Mont Laurier, then South towards St Agathe des Monts...couldn't change reservations cause it was Saturday afternoon when all this went down, instead of 350KM day I got a 550KM day...all worked out, but left SADM and got down to TQ3 heading East. As usual a cluster (everytime you come near a big city) near Trois Riv. and ended up on another detour up to Grand Mere....to TQ23 to get over to Quebec so had another 500km day instead of 350km...BUT I was in Quebec and the trails were for the most part very nice, smooth and not so crowded, just a heads up for those of you thinking about touring in PQ...you don't need to be bilingual, fuel isn't that much more expensive and the local businesses almost everywhere go way out of their way to cater to sledders...it's too bad Ontario not the same, but we just don't have the consistency of snow to get all the rest in line. Too bad...I got annual permit for PQ so I MUST make another PQ trip this year but I've ridden gaspe and Lac St jean at march break before, that's 5 weeks from now...who's in ?
