| Hello everyone. I’m Ian MacPherson and I own a General Store and Esso Station on Highway 11, just west of Kirkland Lake. I’m 55 years old and have been around snowmobiles for most of my life. I really only got into organized sledding in the early 90's with the revitalization of our local club. Over the years I have owned many makes of sleds. I’ve been lucky and they were all good, in their time. I currently have a 2006 MXZ Renegade 600.
I’m an OFSC Trail Patroller and for the past 11 years, I’ve been providing live “Trail Reports” for CJKL-FM in Kirkland Lake. They run at 7:35AM weekday mornings and are available through live steaming audio from their website. The reports deal with current grooming operations, logging cautions, trail closures, that kind of thing. Most of the information is for our local club, The Golden Corridor Snow Drifters, which has a trail inventory of over 370 kilometers. I also provide occasional news for touring across District 14.
Over the years I’ve come to know and look forward to revisiting with sledders out at our gas pumps. We have direct groomed access to the ‘A’ Trail. I don’t have a regular riding partner anymore and don’t go for as many long runs as I used to. In the past I’ve ridden as far south as Haliburton and as far north as Smooth Rock Falls. I prefer to stay north of Temagami simply because I’m not accustomed to the heavier traffic to the south.
I look forward to following along with this forum and offering any input I can. I might even be a ‘trail buddy’ for someone passing by! | |

| I am new to the sledding and am very cautious rider. I work for Steam Whistle Brewing as a rep for northern Ontario. Would love to find someone in the Orillia area that could show me a way to Barrie as I would like to make sales calls by sled! I own a Ski Doo Formula 600 Deluxe. If any riders out in Muskoka that would be interested in riding around and show this beer guy the way, I would appreciate this greatly! Cheers! Brian | |

| Hello everyone! Well unlike so many of you here, I am brand spankin new to the sport of snowmobiling!! Infact yesterday was my first time out on the trails District 8 Elmvale. I must say even though my muscles are screaming at me right now, I can't wait to hit and rip the trails again. I live in Orr Lake (minutes from the trails) and would love to connect with any experienced riders, as I need to catch up. I'm available to go most Sundays and would be available to do some evening riding during the weak. I just purchased a 2001 XCR800 Polaris and want to take advantage of what ever is left of the season.
Cheers Javier aka Huv | |

| Hey fellow sled heads!! My name is Andy I have been an avid sledder since I was a teen... Did not do much sledding in the past 6-8 years as work was getting in the way....Picked up a sled in 2006 and rekindled the flame. I live in Quebec on the Ontario border, did some riding in district 1 last year... Always looking to hook up for a day or night of sledding. | |

| I'm Dan from Etonia, been riding since I was 9 years old in North Bay, 1970...I've owned sleds from all the majors and the best so far is Yamaha 4 strokes....I ride all over Ontario and Quebec. I've ridden across New Brunswick twice, through Maine on marked trailer once, and went two years later to find trails we're gone, not marked, and we weren't permitted back into Canada so we had to go....what a trip...I've ridden from Southern Ontario to Chapleau, Hearst, Cochrane, Muskoka, Barrie, Montibello, PQ, Pembroke, Ottawa, all without the use of a trailer. You got to pick your spot (weather and condition wise) but it can be done. I've had to call for a pal to pick me up a couple times too like after a day riding in rain from Timmins to Sportsmans Lodge, right into the meltdown...had a lot of fun though. I started riding with my Dad and brother and now ride with my son and nephew and girlfriend and old buddies. We've slowed down a lot, or the sleds have got a lot faster, but nothing better then touring on snow....unless you count the 90K I put on my Decker in the past 4 summers....keep the black side down | |

| Hi all My name is Larry Gualtieri and i am a sledaholic.Unfortunately i have friends who would rather sit around and drink than spend a day on the trails, which brings me to this forum. I 'm 40 years old and have been sledding since i was younger man in my days living in Sudbury.Living in southern Ontario has limited my riding in the last 6 years since i'm gotten back into the sport, but i'm always ready for a drive up north into Gods country to do some serious riding. I'm looking forward to meeting many of my fellow enthusiasts as i can on the trail, the seasons short,so lets get riding! | |

| Hello,
My name is Denis Jette. I live in Russell, On. I have started a new career with the Federal Gov after being with GM for many years. I have been snowmobiling since my mid teens and participating in week long trips since 1984. I have been in every corner of Quebec several times often leading trips. My favorite area is Parent, Clova, Senneterre, Val D’Or etc…Every weekend was between 400 to 600 miles mostly around Mont-Laurier, Sainte-Anne-du-Lac or Saint-Michel-des-Saints. I have worn out a few sleds in my time. As I sledded with the same group over the years which where about 15 years my senior, I am now basically alone as they have all retired and are now wintering in Florida. I am now looking into meeting new dedicated snowmobilers in my area for weekends, week long trips or even evening runs for a few hours as sledding alone is boring, especially on longer trips. My other passions are motorcycle touring in the summer months, car shows and camping.
See you on the trails. | |

| As of this moment in my life i have 32 gas powered cylinders.... Hence the name, of course it always changes.... My name is Tom and i've been a motorhead since 1976. Sniff... sniff... do love the smell of distant '2 stroke' on a cold day? Or the smell of a hot engine after its shut down? Love that 'tinking' noise it makes? You too may be like me. There is a cure .And it runs on gas. I'm looking for other addicts who have a camp (or practically live ) in the Haliburton Forest 4 ATV'n and Sled'n. | |
