Season's over for me

This has been the season from hell and it is now officially over. To top off the crappy weather and cancelled trips and a blown piston earlier in the season I now have a completed blown motor.
Piston ring locating pin came loose allowed the ring to turn and catch a port and break the ring and in turn destroy the cylinder and head but to add insult to injury the other cylinder also has major problems, the connectiong rod is bent like a pretzel. So needless to say I just want to put this season behind me.

Thanks to everyone I met from "Ride Connection" this season, and here's to hoping your season has been better than mine and will continue to be long into April.

Really sorry to hear that you are not riding anymore and boy what away to end the season best of luck and see you on the ride.

I feel your pain as i had to dump $1200 into my motor for a new crank rings and pistons before the season even started this year
and for all that money i have only put on about 900kms so far
A good many of those were put on during the Alistion club ride we all went on together
That was a great ride and almost made the $1200 seem worth it

Was great meeting you and the boys and heres hoping for a better season next year and hopefully we get the chance to ride together again

Sorry to hear about your sled. Thanks for your many contributions to this site, it is appreciated. If it is any consolation, I think the season will be over for most of us as well. I just started in this sport (this year) and while maybe short, it has been a blast.

I am a firm believer that there is always a silver lining in every dark cloud. This will give me the opportunity to do up the motor just the way I want, I like the sled but the motor has always been the weak link so I'll do it the way I want and with any luck it will be stronger than ever.
