I moved to Owen Sound last fall and have the winter off. I live right close to the marina in the west end close to the trail that starts there about 75 yards from my house. I can ride every day of the week as I'm semi retired and don't work winters.

To top off the crappy weather and cancelled trips and a blown piston earlier in the season I now have a completed blown motor. Piston ring locating pin came loose allowed the ring to turn and catch a port and break the ring and in turn destroy the cylinder and head but to add insult to injury the other cylinder also has major problems, the connectiong rod is bent like a pretzel. So needless to say I just want to put this season ... I go on a trip every year to Nobel for a couple days. The guys there are thinking of a ride up to the French River and back. Has anyone done this and know how far it is? Also does anyone know how the trail is to the French from Nobel? I read that there were or are logging opperations this year in that area. Any info would be great.

Does anyone know of a way to get around Lindsay from our area since they ripped up the rail bed and built houses. Unfortunately, Lindsay is very snowmobile unfriendly so I wouldn't recommend sledding there. "No snowmobiles" signs all over Town. The weather has now taken its toll but we are two women in our fifties who would be interested in weekday rides once the lakes are frozen again and we get more ...
